Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
Maintenance Mechanic will troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues in the production area and maintain a productive, safe and clean work environment.
Intersection: Torbram and Clark
Payrate: $30.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Shift: Day shift
Work Environment: Production and/or warehouse settings.
Job duties:
· Ability to disassemble, repair, rebuild, overhaul, and troubleshoot plant machines
· Ability to use different equipment and maintenance tools / must own a toolkit to make simple parts or equipment and tools
· Ability to read, comprehend and work with blueprint, electrical schematic, operating and maintenance manuals, work orders, repair parts requests, standard and a metric tape measure, and other measuring equipment including a micrometer, a caliper, a scale, and a VOM (Volt/OHM Meter)
· MSDS forms Steam, Vacuum, Air, Hydraulic gages and Identify proper P/M schedules
· Identify proper parts, materials and tools needed for specific jobs
· Understand and demonstrates operating principles and all safety aspects of the steam generator and related steam equipment
· Ability to complete work orders in Manager Plus ( or applicable Maintenance software)
· Perform electrical repairs along with instructing helpers and less qualified personnel
· Work weekends to complete planned work as well as emergency repairs
Job Requirements
· MUST have 3 years of experience within the corrugate industry
· Minimum of 1 year combination of training, education and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities to perform the duties listed above
· Must have technical knowledge or maintenance tools and equipment
· Ability to stand 6-8 hours, must be able to lift 50 lbs. maximum
· Frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
